Disclaimer: My partner and I don't particularly enjoy eating out, so we only do so when absolutely necessary or for special occasions. Yesterday, we had a significant event to celebrate. The legendary Simone and Manuel, incredibly prompt, provided us with the best food available from the kitchens among the many—perhaps too many—small restaurants dotting Anzio Colonia that don't offer the same quality. We immediately ordered sautéed mussels, and an excellent Sauvignon to accompany them. The bread was fresh, the mussels were inviting, well-cooked, and fresh, and plentiful. I then ordered spaghetti with clams, and my partner ordered grouper ravioli: the shellfish were incredibly fresh, and my pasta was al dente, which she also tried (and tried again) and was delighted with. At that point, I also asked for my ravioli, and I can assure you that the grouper was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the pasta was perfectly tender. The blend of flavors was perfect, with the cherry tomatoes fresh and delicate. We then ordered octopus salad and a plate of tuna meatballs, and finally, just to satisfy this whim, meatballs. It must be said, especially regarding the exquisite octopus salad (fresh and just the right consistency), that Simone, who has been part of the kitchen staff since this year, combines considerable expertise with the right amount of experimental courage, allowing him to create combinations that at first seem daring, but upon closer inspection, are always delicate and perfectly balanced. The tuna meatballs garnished with arugula leaves are something extraordinary, absolutely authentic in flavor and made solely from that fish, authentic, a wonderful example of delicate and enveloping vigor, while the meat ones did not disappoint at all and provided a pleasant end to the meal characterized by strong flavors. Finally, coffee and amaro. The price? A joke considering the quality offered, the freshness of the products, and the courtesy!

We've been frequenting White Café for over 10 years and have always been satisfied. Simone, the owner, is incredibly kind and always puts you at ease. The chef, Simone's mother, never fails. The dishes are fresh and beautifully cooked. It's worth a stop if you're in Anzio. This year, it's also open in the evenings on weekends. Highly recommended.

A beautiful café-bar just steps from the beach. We stopped for lunch and were warmly welcomed. The menu isn't fixed, and the owner's mother cooks the food. They gave us recommendations, and we tried the local dish. The flavor is homemade, with fresh produce and an excellent selection. At the end of our meal, they treated us to a homemade digestif, also "mirto," and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return 😊 Greetings from two Argentinians!

Tasty and fresh food, a very friendly owner, and a fantastic cook. We had pasta with clams and fried fish balls prepared that morning with mayonnaise (also homemade, not packaged, of course), plus a side of vegetables. It was all accompanied by water, two glasses of wine, and coffee, for a total of €42—excellent quality and prices. When we return to Anzio, this will be the first place we eat. Thanks again!

We immediately ordered sautéed mussels accompanied by an excellent Sauvignon. The bread was fresh, the mussels were inviting, well-cooked, fresh, and plentiful. I then ordered spaghetti with clams, and my companion ordered grouper ravioli. The mussels were incredibly fresh, and my pasta was al dente. She also tried it (and honestly, tried it repeatedly) and loved it. Then I also ordered my ravioli, and I can assure you that the grouper was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the pasta was perfectly tender. The flavor combination was practically ideal; the cherry tomatoes were also fresh and tender. We then ordered octopus salad and a plate of tuna balls, and finally, to satisfy this whim, a plate of meatballs. Especially with the exquisite octopus salad (fresh and with the right consistency), it must be said that Simone, who joined the kitchen team this year, combines a great deal of expertise with the right amount of experimentation, creating seemingly daring combinations that, upon closer inspection, always reveal themselves to be delicate and perfectly balanced. The tuna balls, garnished with arugula leaves, are truly exceptional; they also have an absolutely authentic flavor and are made exclusively from this fish, a wonderful example of tender and enveloping power. The meatballs did not disappoint and provided a pleasant conclusion to a meal characterized by robust flavors. Coffee and amaro were the finishing touch. The price? A joke, considering the quality, freshness of the produce, and friendliness!
